An excellent choice for warehouses, buildings, cold stores, fruit storage, cold storage rooms, etc. requiring high thermal insulation. The insulating core between the two steel armatures creates a system that is rigid, slab-like, with outstanding thermal insulation. The panels are designed for temperatures from -40°C to 0°C.

Packaging

In order to ensure that loading and transport is damage-free, the panel pallets are wrapped in plastic film, while a foam spacer board is placed between them on the top/bottom.

The maximum weight of the pallets is 1-1.5T, and the number of panels is determined by the thickness and length of the sandwich panel.

Storage

During handling and storage of the sandwich panel, the product can easily be damaged and therefore special care must be taken and the following instructions must be followed:

  • Do not store more than 3 bundles on top of each other and always place a spacer (polystyrene block or board) between them
  • In all cases, the sandwich panel should be stored in a slightly sloped position (with a slight slope of 5%) and the bundle should be laid on a rigid and flat surface with the bottom spacers to provide the slope. The reason for this: to prevent water from staying there.
  • It is recommended to store the panel bundles under a cover or protect them from rain with a foil. Ventilation should always be provided.
  • The protective foil on the metal armouring of the panel must not be exposed to direct sunlight and must be removed within 45 days of receipt.

General installation advice for wall sandwich panels

Weather conditions (temperature, wind, rain)

  • Installation of panels is recommended between -5 and 20°C
  • When using silicone or butyl tape, the temperature must not be lower than 4°C
  • For safety reasons, the installation of sandwich panels is recommended below 10km/h wind speed
  • For safety reasons, it is not recommended to install sandwich panels when it is raining
  • When installing stone wool panels in rainy weather, special attention should be paid to the fact that the wall panels can only be installed when dry, if the cotton filling has been exposed to moisture

Panel movement

  • A crane is the best tool for moving panels into the mounting position. Manual movement is also acceptable for lightweight panels.
  • For more serious applications, the vacuum lift is recommended

Assembly tips

  • A sealing strip should always be placed between the steel structure and the sandwich panel to prevent the panel from scratching or rubbing against the structure
